GO "TUBING" IN OUR LOCAL SAN BERNARDINO MOUNTAINS

Remember when we were a kid and couldn't wait for the first big snowfall so you could grab your inner tubes and toboggans (or trashcan lids) and hit any snow-covered hill around? Weren't those some of the best times in your life?

Well, if you're visiting the San Bernardino Mountains this winter and are looking for a great place to take the kiddos (big kids, too) for a fun-filled day, head up to SNOWDRIFT TUBING PARK, Southern California's largest and oldest tubing park. The park is approximately 4 miles east of Running Springs on Rim of The World Highway (18).
The park supplies you with the tubes you'll need, which are specially designed with a belly strap and handles. They have slopes for the beginner, the intermediate and the advanced... a slope for everyone!

So the next time you're trying to think of something fun to do in the San Bernardino Mountains, head to Snowdrift Tubing Park.

SNOW in The San Bernardino Mountains ~ 12-15-2012

SNOW! We ended up with about six fresh inches of fresh snow here in Lake Arrowhead. However, other areas, like Running Springs and Green Valley Lake got several FEET! So before you head up to the mountains, check mountain road conditions & bring warm clothing and chains.
